Whale Watching In Maui

Humpbacks start arriving in late November and will remain in the waters around Maui until the end of April. The whales make this yearly trip so that they can calve, mate, and rear their young.

During the season the Humpbacks are visible from land in some parts of Maui. If you want to take full advantage of this unique opportunity a whale watching trip aboard one of the local charters is the only way to go. While the charter boats are restricted how close they can get to the whales the reverse is not true. Whale are curious and will approach the boats for a closer look.

Whales and Submarine in Maui

The following link is from YouTube of an encounter of an Alantis submarine in Maui and humpback whales. This is a rare happening in the watching season so enjoy the video. Everyone on the submarine truly had a once in a lifetime experience.
