The amount of photos that been produced with all the different film processes and digital media is huge. The amount of photographys that have been lost or destoyed due to neglect, mishandling and accident is another staggering number. Many of these images can be saved and restored to there orginal state. A large number of photos can not only be saved but improved in appearance.

How much of your attention should given to your images is answered by a simple statement. "Photographys are History." You can make new history but only you can preserve the past. You can not go back and make a new picture of the birth of a child you must find an old one and reproduce or repair that image. How you care for those images and store them determines if the past is lost to the your family and friends.

Methods of repair and restoration, in this age, center on the use of computor programs. This is unlike my first work with restoration in which the process was done directly on the the photo and negatives. Almost every computor sold today comes with some form of software to save or change photographys. There is a problem with that.

1. Will you learn to use the software?

2. Where will you store the photos?

3. Do you have time to review and repair or restore a large number of images? (maybe a 1000+)

4. Do you know what can be saved?

5. Do you have the time?

If you can handle all of the above you can stop reading. You will still need additional equipment like scanners and printers. If the above presents any problem or concern then seek the type of services that I offer. My investment, in not only software and equipment, will be an assent to what you want to preserve. I will detail the types of services for you shortly but I have a word of advise. Ask questions when ever you don't know or understand what is being offered. In the long run we will both be much happier.
