Why is Maui special? It does not matter if you are going on a romantic get away for two or bringing the entire family to Maui, you are at home the minute you arrive. Depending on where you are from, be prepared for some surprises. Being from the Midwest and cold winters it is hard to imagine that when you arrive at the airport that the airport has no front doors on it. I mean, how do they keep the snow out?

I am not sure if the Maui activities list even has an end. What you can do in Hawaii ranges from the beaches, shopping, culture events and on and on. OH, don't forget just plain relaxing. In other words do what you want to do when you want to do it.

Maui mornings start with herds of people out enjoying the warm mornings by walking and jogging. Of course, don't forget the group that is sleeping in because they want to enjoy more ot the evening life.

Some mornings you might want to enjoy a full breakfast at one of the many great restaurants. While other mornings you may want to grab fast food and get an early start on the day.

Depending on where you stay most places have an information center for guests. On our first Maui vacation we attended an information meeting at our hotel in which they served a light breakfast and gave us information on Maui activites. The booking of activities, in most cases, can be done at the hotel saving you time and money.

You quickly learn that where you stay is just the place you sleep. Being on a Maui vacation opens tons of places you want to go and see. Yes, you can tan by the pool in the hotel or you can tan on a beach, the choice is yours.
